A: As a member of the Healthcare Billing and Management Association (HBMA) we are continuously receiving updates regarding regulations. We also participate in the Medicare Part B List Serve and subscribe to specialty specific newsletters to ensure we are always up to speed in this ever changing industry. It is our goal to be leaders within our community. We frequently attend seminars and insurance functions so we know the proposed changes before they are implemented by the carriers and CMS. Q: How long have you been doing medical billing?

A: The truth of the matter is, members of our team have been in the industry so long, if we told you the exact number of years you would probably think we were lying (and some of the members might be upset that we gave away their age). MBS was founded in 2001. At that time the co-founders alone had over 42 years of combined experience.

Q: I’m nervous about having an outside person doing my banking?

A: At no time does MBS have access to your bank accounts or account balance. We simply ensure that your checks are deposited into the account you specify on the day we receive the payments. As an added precaution, the team member that does the banking does not have access to payment application. We take every safeguard to ensure your deposits are secure.

Q: My practice is different from other practices. I may need to custom tailor my billing. Can you do that?

A: MBS understands that every practice is a little or a lot different from other practices. Customizing billing packages is our specialty.

A: We look at a number of elements when determing your fee. Some practices receive a flat percentage rate based on receipts while others have a monthly base rate with an incentive scale. At first glance you may find that our fees are slightly higher than some of our competitors, however, when you compare “apples to apples” and consider the additional services along with our experience you’ll find that we provide the highest quality service at the lowest price.
